I’ve never had a horse founder this bad. We had a heavy frost, then two random days of 70 degree weather. I think this shot the sugar up in the grass, bc she’s on a very strict diet already. She also is presenting with gas colic, so she’s getting another shot of banamine this morning. I light exercised her early this morning, and she will be getting more bute tonight for the founder. She was just standing there shivering and would not move, nearly going down on her back end when I first noticed it, so I immediately thought EPM. But, I think because of the founder she couldn’t move from pain and got cold/ shivering. And her not moving probably contributed to the gas colic. This Alabama weather! 😬🤯
